The neighbourhood café, a daily habit

In Agdal, which Wikipedia describes as a busy area with university buildings and government agencies, cafés see students and office staff. In Océan, for a long time a hub of the city's cultural life, customers are more often neighbours who come back day after day. Around Avenue Mohammed V and the ministries, the morning break is often short.

In all three cases the loyal customer already exists. The stamp card helps you recognise them and gives them a reason to pick your terrace over the one next door.

One coffee ordered, one stamp confirmed

The customer pays, scans the counter QR code and gets a number. The stamp is added when the order is confirmed ready, not before. For a customer paying for two coffees and a juice for colleagues, the cashier can give two stamps instead of one.

• The card is saved with one WhatsApp message and can also go into Google Wallet. Apple Wallet is not available yet.
• One reward per café, for example "10 coffees, the 11th free".
• The reward is redeemed with a 6-digit code at the counter.

Worked example to adapt

Example to replace with your own numbers: a coffee at 12 DH and the rule "10 coffees, 1 free". The customer spends 120 DH before the reward, which costs you the cost price of one coffee, not 12 DH. If your terrace is mostly students on a tight budget, a shorter rule such as "6 coffees, 1 free" may appeal more. Test it.

Staying in touch with regulars

A regular who has not come for several weeks can get an automatic WhatsApp reminder and can stop these messages whenever they like. The birthday gift (day and month only) is a simple gesture for a customer you know by name. After a visit, Stampylo invites them to leave a Google review, with nothing offered in return.
