Why a loyalty card in Fès

According to the 2024 census by the High Commission for Planning, Fès has about 1.18 million people across six districts: Agdal, Saïss, Zouagha, Jnan El Ouard, El Mariniyine and Fès-Médina. Zouagha is the most populated. Each district has its own customers: regulars who pass by every day near home, students around the campuses, visitors in the medina.

A loyal customer is one who comes back without advertising. The loyalty card gives them a reason to come back to you rather than to the shop next door, and shows you who really returns.

Three faces of the city, three kinds of customers

  • Students: Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University has its two main campuses in Fès, Dhar El Mahraz and Saïs. A student often counts every dirham, and a free coffee or sandwich after a few visits matters.
  • The medina: Fès el-Bali has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1981. Near Bab Boujloud, customers are often a mix of residents and tourists; the card works in French, Arabic and English.
  • The new town and residential districts: in Agdal, Saïss or Zouagha, customers are mostly neighbourhood regulars who come in the morning, at lunch or with family in the evening.

How the Stampylo loyalty card works

The customer pays, scans the counter QR code with the phone camera and gets an order number for the day. When you tap "Ready" on the cashier screen, the phone rings and vibrates on Android. On iPhone, the ticket page rings only while it stays open on screen; the "Enable alert" button keeps the screen on with a loud alarm.

A stamp is added only when the order is confirmed ready: no stamp without a real order. The cashier sets the number of stamps for an order. You choose the "buy N, get 1 free" rule and the reward, one reward per business. The customer redeems it at the counter with a 6-digit code.

WhatsApp, Google Wallet and Google reviews

  • The card is saved with one WhatsApp message and can be added to Google Wallet, where it updates itself. Apple Wallet is not available yet.
  • An automatic WhatsApp reminder goes to customers who stopped coming; they can stop messages at any time.
  • An optional birthday gift: we ask only for the day and month.
  • After a visit, the customer is invited to leave a Google review. The Google button shows first to everyone, and no stamp or gift is ever given for a review.

A worked example for Fès (replace with your prices)

Example: a coffee at 12 DH, with the rule "buy 10 coffees, the 11th is free". The customer spends 120 DH before the reward, which costs you the cost price of one coffee. Replace these numbers with your real prices and margin before choosing N.

The plan is MAD 149 per month after a 14-day free trial, no card needed. In Morocco you pay by bank transfer from the dashboard or with a prepaid activation code. No hardware to buy: a tablet or phone is enough, a TV is optional.
