Stampylo 'order ready' ticket on a snack bar customer's phone in Marrakech

Lunchtime in Marrakech, a line to manage

At lunchtime, office workers in Guéliz are short on time. Near the Amerchich faculties, Cadi Ayyad University students want a sandwich or tacos at a small price. In a large district like M'hamid, a neighbourhood snack often serves the same customers all week long.

In every case the problem is the same: customers standing at the counter asking if it is ready. With Stampylo the customer gets a number, sees how many orders are ahead and an estimated wait, then the phone rings when the order is ready.

Numbers, TV and customers without a smartphone

  • Numbers start at 1 each day, or follow your till: first number of the day, 'next number', or the cashier types the receipt number.
  • The TV shows 'Preparing' and 'Ready' and announces numbers in Arabic, French or English.
  • A customer without a smartphone gets a ticket created in one tap; the number shows on the TV.
  • On iPhone the page rings only while it stays open: 'Enable alert' keeps the screen on. On Android the phone rings and vibrates.

A snack bar's stamp card

A stamp is added only when the order is confirmed Ready. When a student orders for three friends, the cashier chooses how many stamps the order gets. The card is saved on WhatsApp, and a customer with a saved card also gets one WhatsApp 'order ready' message.

University holidays and summer sometimes empty the snack bars near the faculties. The automatic WhatsApp reminder helps bring back people who stopped coming, without spam: the customer can stop the messages at any time.

Example: a sandwich at 30 DH

An example to replace with your prices: a snack near Amerchich sells a sandwich for 30 DH and chooses 'buy 8, the 9th is free'. A student who has lunch with you three times a week gets a free meal in under a month. You choose the number of stamps and the reward, one per business.

Stampylo costs MAD 149 per month, with a 14-day free trial and unlimited orders and screens.

Questions

Can the number follow my till receipt?

Yes. You can set the first number of the day, use 'next number', or let the cashier type the receipt number.

Does Stampylo take delivery orders?
