Digital loyalty card in Tétouan for cafés, snacks and food shops

This page covers the digital loyalty card in Tétouan for food businesses: cafés, snack bars, pizzerias, juice bars and bakeries. Tétouan combines a listed medina, a Spanish-style centre, a large university and a coast that is busy every summer. Here is how a digital stamp card fits these customers, with what Stampylo does and what it does not do.

Tétouan, a city with very different customers

Tétouan, nicknamed "the White Dove", was the capital of the Spanish protectorate from 1913 to 1956. Its medina has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. West of the medina, the Ensanche, the district built in the Spanish period, keeps its avenues such as Avenue Mohammed V and Place Moulay El Mehdi.

It is also a university city: the presidency of Abdelmalek Essaâdi University is in Tétouan, and the Faculty of Sciences is in M'hannech. The nearby coast, from Martil to M'diq and Cabo Negro, draws many visitors in summer.

For a café or snack bar, that means three groups: neighbourhood regulars who come back every day, students on a tight budget, and summer visitors passing through. A useful loyalty card speaks to the first two without slowing the counter down in high season.

How the digital loyalty card works in Tétouan with Stampylo

Stampylo is a web app: neither you nor your customers install anything. A QR poster (A4, in French, Arabic and English) sits on the counter. The customer pays, scans the QR with the phone camera and gets an order number for the day.

  • A stamp is added only when the order is confirmed Ready: no stamp without a real order.
  • The cashier sets the number of stamps for an order, for example two stamps for two coffees.
  • You choose the "buy N, get 1 free" rule and the reward. One reward per business, no points, no tiers.
  • The card is saved with one WhatsApp message and can be added to Google Wallet. Apple Wallet is not available yet.
  • The reward is redeemed at the counter with a 6-digit code.

A worked example to replace with your prices

Example: a café in the Ensanche sells coffee at 12 DH (example price, use yours). It picks "buy 9 coffees, the 10th is free". A regular who stops by every morning earns the reward in just under two weeks, and the free coffee costs the café its cost price, not 12 DH.

The same logic works for a snack bar near the Faculty of Sciences in M'hannech: with a 30 DH sandwich (example), "buy 7, the 8th is free" stays easy to follow for a student who eats there several times a week. Run the numbers with your own prices and margins before you set N.

What helps at rush hour and in summer

At busy times, a customer who scanned sees the order status, how many orders are ahead and an estimated wait based on your average preparation time. When the cashier taps Ready, the phone rings, and vibrates on Android.

An honest limit: on iPhone, the page rings only while it stays open on screen. The "Enable alert" button keeps the screen on with a loud alarm. A customer without a smartphone gets a ticket created in one tap at the counter, and the number shows on the TV.

The TV screen (any Smart TV or Android TV with a browser) shows "Preparing" and "Ready" columns, with a chime and a voice announcement of each number in Arabic, French or English. Handy if you serve foreign visitors in summer.

Bringing Tétouan customers back after the season

When a regular stops coming, Stampylo can send an automatic WhatsApp reminder; the customer can stop these messages at any time. Offers go only to customers who accepted marketing messages, at most one a week, bought as credit packs. You can also offer a birthday gift (only the day and month are asked).

After a visit, the customer is invited to leave a Google review: the Google button shows first for everyone, then an optional private rating only you see. No stamps or gifts are given for reviews. The dashboard tracks visits, stamps, rewards and returning customers, with a summary email every Monday.

The price is MAD 149 per month, with a 14-day free trial and no card. In Morocco you pay by bank transfer from the dashboard or with a prepaid activation code. There is no POS integration.

Questions

Does the loyalty card work for summer visitors in Tétouan?

Yes, a visitor can scan and follow the order without installing anything. But a stamp card mostly pays off with customers who come back: think of your regulars and students first.

Do I need a till or special hardware?

No. A tablet or phone is enough for the cashier screen, and the TV is optional. Stampylo does not connect to a POS.

Can my customers add the card to Apple Wallet?

Not yet. On iPhone the card is saved with a WhatsApp message; Google Wallet works on Android.

Is Stampylo already used by other businesses in Tétouan?

This page names no customers. You can try it yourself during the 14-day free trial.
