Digital loyalty card in Casablanca for cafés, snacks and bakeries

A digital loyalty card in Casablanca has to keep up with Morocco's economic capital: office workers in a hurry in the morning, a short lunch break, families on the corniche at the weekend. Stampylo replaces the paper card with a stamp card on the phone, added only when the order is confirmed ready. Here is how to use it in a Casablanca business, and where its limits are.

Casablanca: a city of offices, neighbourhoods and people passing through

Wikipedia describes Casablanca as the country's economic capital and the seat of the Casablanca-Settat region. Its port handles 54% of national port traffic and the city is called Morocco's leading industrial hub. Sidi Maarouf has hosted the headquarters of several multinationals since 1993, and the Gauthier district in the centre is known for its offices and its wide mix of cafés and restaurants.

So the same shop often sees two kinds of customers: neighbourhood regulars who come every day, and people passing through on their way out of an office, a train station (Casa-Port, Casa-Voyageurs) or a tram stop. A useful loyalty card rewards the first group without slowing down the second.

How the digital loyalty card works in Casablanca with Stampylo

The customer pays first, scans the QR code at the counter with the phone camera and gets an order number for the day. Nothing to install, for them or for you: it all runs in the browser, on Android and iPhone.

  • A stamp is added only when the order is confirmed ready: no stamp without a real order.
  • The cashier sets the number of stamps for an order, for example two for a large office order.
  • You choose the rule "buy N, get 1 free" and one reward per business, with no points and no tiers.
  • The card is saved with one WhatsApp message and can be added to Google Wallet. Apple Wallet is not available yet.
  • The reward is redeemed at the counter with a 6-digit code.

A calmer counter at rush hour

When the order is ready, the cashier taps "Ready". The customer's phone rings and vibrates on Android. On iPhone, the ticket page rings only while it stays open on screen; the "Enable alert" button keeps the screen on with a loud alarm. The customer also sees how many orders are ahead and an estimated wait.

A TV in the room can show "Preparing" and "Ready" columns and announce each number out loud in Arabic, French or English. At lunchtime, when office workers only have a few minutes, this is often what stops the crowd from forming at the till.

Bring customers back, not just count them

Stampylo can send an automatic WhatsApp reminder to customers who stopped coming; they can stop the messages at any time. You can offer a birthday gift (only the day and month are asked). WhatsApp offers go only to customers who accepted marketing messages, at most one a week.

After a visit, the customer is invited to leave a Google review: the Google button is shown first to everyone, with no filtering and no gift in return. The dashboard shows visits, stamps, rewards and returning customers, with a short summary email every Monday.

A Casablanca example to adapt to your prices

Example: a café near boulevard Mohammed V sells a coffee at 15 DH (replace with your own price). With "9 coffees, the 10th free", the reward costs one coffee for nine sold. An office worker who stops by every morning earns it in about two working weeks, which is a simple reason to come back to you rather than the place next door.

Questions

Do customers need an app for the loyalty card in Casablanca?

No. Stampylo runs in the browser on Android and iPhone. The customer scans a QR code, and you open a link on a tablet or phone.

Can customers who are just passing through use it?

Yes. They get a number and follow their ticket without installing anything. They keep their card if they save it on WhatsApp or Google Wallet.

How much does Stampylo cost?

One plan: MAD 149 per month, MAD 399 for 3 months or MAD 1,490 per year, after a 14-day free trial with no card. In Morocco you pay by bank transfer or a prepaid activation code.

Is Stampylo connected to my till?

No, there is no POS integration. Order numbers can still follow your till: first number of the day, next number, or the receipt number typed by the cashier.
