Kenitra: a student, industrial and seaside city

According to Wikipedia, Kenitra had 507,736 inhabitants in the 2024 census. It lies in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, on the south bank of the Sebou river, about 35 km from Rabat. It is home to Ibn Tofail University and, on its outskirts, the Atlantic Free Zone, a 345-hectare export free zone where Stellantis has assembled cars since 2020.

Kenitra station is also a stop on the Al Boraq high-speed train, running since November 2018 between Tangier, Kenitra, Rabat and Casablanca. Close by on the Atlantic, Mehdia beach draws families and surfers, mostly in summer.

For a café or a snack, that means several crowds at once: students on a tight budget, workers with fixed hours, travellers in a hurry and regulars who come back every day in their own neighbourhood.

Neighbourhoods with different habits

Boulevard Mohammed V runs through the city from north to south and often gathers the shops of the centre. In residential areas such as Val-Fleury, Mimosas, Bir Rami or Saknia, customers are mostly neighbours who come by often. A loyalty card must work for the everyday regular and for the customer who only comes in season or between two trains.

How the digital loyalty card works in Kenitra with Stampylo

A worked example to adapt

Example, replace with your own prices: a snack near the university sells a meal at 30 DH and picks "buy 9 meals, the 10th is free". The reward costs one meal for nine sales. A customer who comes twice a week reaches the reward in a little over a month, which gives a reason to come back all through the academic year.

Less waiting at the counter

When the order is ready, the cashier taps "Ready". The customer's phone rings and vibrates on Android. On iPhone, the ticket page rings only while it stays open on screen; the "Enable alert" button keeps the screen on with a loud alarm. A TV can show "Preparing" and "Ready" columns and announce each number in Arabic, French or English. A customer without a smartphone gets a ticket the cashier creates in one tap, and the number shows on the TV.

Bringing Kenitra customers back

Stampylo can send an automatic WhatsApp reminder to customers who stopped coming, and they can stop messages at any time. You can offer a birthday gift (only the day and month are asked). After a visit, the customer is invited to leave a Google review: the Google button shows first to everyone, with no stamp or gift in exchange.

The dashboard shows visits, stamps, rewards and returning customers, with a short summary email every Monday.
