Digital loyalty card in Rabat for cafés, snacks and bakeries
A digital loyalty card in Rabat has to keep up with a capital city: civil servants in the morning, students between classes, families at the weekend. Stampylo replaces the paper card with a stamp card on the phone, added only when the order is confirmed ready. Here is how it works in a Rabat business, with its limits.

Rabat: an administrative and student city
Wikipedia notes that Rabat is the capital of Morocco. In the Hassan district, the Quartier de la Résidence is home to many ministries, and Avenue Mohammed V holds most official buildings, including Parliament. Hay Riad, around Avenue Annakhil and Mahaj Riad, is described as the new business and administrative centre.
Agdal, the former European quarter, is a busy area with many university buildings and government agencies. According to Wikipedia, Mohammed V University had 87,000 students in 2019-2020. The medina and the Kasbah of the Udayas are among the Rabat sites on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 2012, which also brings visitors.
For a café or a snack, that means very regular weekday customers, peaks at break times and passing visitors near the historic sites.
How the digital loyalty card works in Rabat with Stampylo
The customer pays first, scans the QR code at the counter with the phone camera and gets an order number. No app to install, for them or for you.
- A stamp is added only when the order is confirmed ready: no stamp without a real order.
- The cashier sets the number of stamps for an order, for example two stamps for a large office order.
- You set the rule, "buy N, get 1 free", with one reward per business.
- The card is saved with one WhatsApp message and can be added to Google Wallet. Apple Wallet is not available yet.
- The reward is redeemed at the counter with a 6-digit code.
Fewer people waiting at the counter at break time
When the order is ready, the cashier taps "Ready". The customer's phone rings and vibrates on Android. On iPhone, the ticket page rings only while it stays open on screen; the "Enable alert" button keeps the screen on with a loud alarm.
A TV in the room can show "Preparing" and "Ready" columns and announce each number out loud in Arabic, French or English. A ministry employee on a short break can see where the order stands instead of standing at the till.
Bringing neighbourhood regulars back
Stampylo can send an automatic WhatsApp reminder to customers who stopped coming; they can stop messages any time. You can offer a birthday gift (only the day and month are asked). After a visit, the customer is invited to leave a Google review; the Google button shows first for everyone, with no stamp or gift in exchange.
In a student city, part of the clientele often changes between summer and the new academic year. The WhatsApp reminder is there to reconnect with the ones who no longer drop by.

Can numbers be announced in Arabic and French?
Yes. The TV can announce each ready number in Arabic, French or English, one language or several.
