Bakery loyalty card
Bakery loyalty card: reward the regulars who come every morning
In a bakery or pastry shop, the same customers come back almost every day for bread, msemen or a coffee. A bakery loyalty card on the phone turns these small purchases into a clear reward, with no paper card to stamp. This guide explains how to set one up for a bakery in Morocco, what works during the morning rush, and the limits to know before you start.
14-day free trial, no credit card.

Why bakery customers are a special case
A café or snack bar sees a customer a few times a week. A bakery can see them every morning. The basket is small, but the frequency is very high: the regular who buys bread and msemen every day is worth more over a month than a customer who orders one cake a year.
That regular rarely keeps a paper card. It gets lost, stays in another jacket, or never comes out because the line is waiting. And during the rush, nobody at the counter has time to stamp it.
How the bakery loyalty card works with Stampylo
Stampylo is a web app: neither you nor your customers install an app. The card opens in the browser, on Android and on iPhone.
You print the A4 poster with the counter QR code, in French, Arabic and English. The customer pays first, scans the QR with the phone camera and gets an order number for the day. When the order is ready, the cashier screen taps "Ready", and that is when the stamp is added. For something handed over right away, like bread or a coffee, the cashier taps "Ready" at once.
The card is a digital stamp card: "buy N, get 1 free". You choose N and the reward. When the card is full, the reward is redeemed at the counter with a 6-digit code.
Choosing the reward: one stamp per visit, not per dirham
Stampylo counts visits, not amounts. There are no points and no tiers. A loaf of bread and a birthday cake each earn one stamp. And there is one reward per business. So choose it with the morning regular in mind, the one you want to see again tomorrow.
A few ideas to adapt:
- Example: 10 visits, 1 free coffee. A coffee that costs you little brings back the person who comes every day.
- Example: 8 visits, 4 free msemen or 4 free harcha.
- Example: 12 visits, 1 free individual pastry.
- These numbers are examples only: replace them with your own prices and margins before you set up the card.
The morning rush: nothing extra at the counter
The customer scans the counter QR. Staff have nothing to scan and no card to look for. The cashier screen runs on any tablet or phone, opened by a link with no password, and you can revoke that link whenever you want.
Order numbers start at 1 each day, or follow your till: first number of the day, "next number", or the cashier types the receipt number. For a customer without a smartphone, the cashier creates a ticket in one tap.
- No stamp without a real order: it is added only when the order is confirmed "Ready".
- Optionally, a QR on the screens that changes every 30 seconds: a photo of it stops working within a minute.
- Every action is logged with the screen link that did it, and a daily check flags abnormal days.
Cakes and trays: the phone rings when it is ready
When a customer waits while you box a tray of pastries, write a name on a cake or make their sandwiches, they do not need to stand in front of the display case. Their ticket page shows the status, how many orders are ahead and an estimated wait based on your average preparation time.
When you tap "Ready", their phone rings, and vibrates on Android. On iPhone, the page rings only while it stays open on screen: the "Enable alert" button keeps the screen on with a loud alarm. A customer whose card is saved on WhatsApp also gets an "order ready" message.
- A limit to know: the ticket is for the same day. Stampylo does not take advance orders for another day, or online orders. For a cake ordered for Saturday, keep your usual order book.
Birthdays and WhatsApp reminders
A pastry shop and a birthday go well together. The birthday gift is optional: Stampylo asks only for the day and month of birth, not the year.
The customer saves the card with one WhatsApp message, or adds it to Google Wallet, where it updates itself. Apple Wallet is not available yet.
- An automatic WhatsApp reminder goes to customers who stopped coming. They can stop the messages at any time.
- Offer campaigns, such as a new pastry, go only to customers who accepted marketing messages. They are bought as credit packs, with at most one offer message a week.
More Google reviews for your bakery
After a visit, the customer is invited to leave a review, by push notification, or by WhatsApp if you have set your Google review link. The page shows the Google review button first to every customer, then an optional private rating with a comment that only you see. A 5-star private rating also opens the Google page.
Stampylo never filters who sees the Google button, never gives stamps, gifts or discounts for reviews, and never writes or buys reviews. One customer gets at most one request every 2 months, and none for 6 months after a rating. A free Google review QR code generator is also on the site.
Price, trial and what not to expect
One plan: MAD 149 per month, MAD 399 for 3 months or MAD 1,490 per year. The free trial lasts 14 days, with no card. In Morocco, you pay by bank transfer from the dashboard or with a prepaid activation code. Orders, screens and customers are unlimited, and there is no hardware to buy.
- no integration with a till or POS system;
- no SMS;
- no online ordering;
- no Apple Wallet for now.
Questions
Does the customer need to install an app?
No. They scan the counter QR with the camera, and the card opens in the browser, on Android and on iPhone.
Does a customer who buys just one loaf earn a stamp?
Yes. Every order confirmed "Ready" earns a stamp, whatever the amount. For something handed over right away, the cashier taps "Ready" at once.
Can I have one reward for bread and another for cakes?
No. There is one reward per business, with no points or tiers. Pick the one that brings your regulars back.
Does Stampylo connect to my cash register?
No, there is no integration. Order numbers can still follow your till: first number of the day, "next number", or typing the receipt number.
Does the card go into Apple Wallet?
Not yet. It can be saved with a WhatsApp message or added to Google Wallet.
