Pizzeria loyalty card

Pizzeria loyalty card and pager on the customer's phone

A pizzeria loyalty card has to keep pace with the oven: the customer pays, waits for the pizza, then comes back next week if the visit went well. This guide is for pizzerias in Morocco that sell take-away and eat-in at the counter. It covers the wait during baking, choosing the reward, cheating, slow days and Google reviews, with what Stampylo does and does not do.

Pizzeria TV screen with Preparing and Ready columns and order numbers

Why the wait weighs more in a pizzeria

A sandwich is out in a few minutes. A pizza goes through the dough, the toppings and the oven, and in the evening several orders land at once. The customer who has paid stands by the counter, asks if it is ready, and gets in the way of people who want to order.

The real problem is often not the baking itself. It is not knowing how long is left, and not daring to step away for fear of missing your turn. A customer who knows there are three orders ahead waits more calmly.

A pizzeria pager on the customer's phone

With Stampylo, a QR poster (A4, in French, Arabic and English) sits on the counter. The customer pays, scans it with the phone camera and gets an order number for the day. Nobody installs an app, neither the customer nor you.

  • The ticket page shows the order status, how many orders are ahead and an estimated wait.
  • The estimate is based on the average preparation time you set. For a pizzeria, set a realistic time that includes the oven.
  • When the pizza comes out, the cashier screen, or the kitchen screen if you choose that the kitchen marks orders ready, taps "Ready". The customer's phone rings, and vibrates on Android.
  • On iPhone, the page rings only while it stays open on screen. The "Enable alert" button keeps the screen on with a loud alarm: suggest it to customers waiting at a table.
  • A customer whose card is saved on WhatsApp also gets one WhatsApp "order ready" message.

Numbers on the TV for eat-in customers

For people eating at the counter or waiting inside, the TV ties it together. Any Smart TV or Android TV with a browser will do, or stampylo.com/tv shows a code to pair it. The screen has two columns, "Preparing" and "Ready", with a chime and a voice announcement of each ready number in Arabic, French or English.

The TV also shows the counter QR, your pizzeria's name and logo, and reconnects by itself. A customer without a smartphone is not left out: the cashier creates a ticket in one tap and the number shows on the TV. If you already print till receipts, the numbers can follow your till instead of starting at 1 each day.

Which reward suits a pizza stamp card

Stampylo works as a stamp card: "buy N, get 1 free". You choose N and the reward. There is one reward per business, with no points and no tiers, so pick the one your customers care about most.

  • A free pizza after N orders: the clearest. Name the size, for example "one medium pizza of your choice, extra toppings not included".
  • A free drink: it costs you less, so N can be smaller and the reward comes sooner.
  • A free dessert or side: useful if your margin on pizza is tight.

Set N with your own numbers

A stamp is added per order, when the order is marked ready. A family ordering three pizzas in one order gets one stamp.

Example, replace with your own prices: if a medium pizza sells for 60 MAD and costs you 25 MAD, a free pizza after 8 orders costs you 25 MAD for at least 8 sales. Do the same sum with your real cost before you set N. Too high and nobody finishes the card. Too low and the reward eats your margin.

Keeping cheating off the pizzeria loyalty card

With a paper card, a stamp can be copied and a staff member can stamp friends' cards. Stampylo limits this without you watching every customer.

  • A stamp is added only when the order is confirmed ready: no stamp without a real order.
  • Every action is logged with the screen link that did it, and a daily check flags abnormal days.
  • Rewards are redeemed at the counter with a 6-digit code.
  • Optionally, a QR that changes every 30 seconds shows on the screens: a photo of it stops working within a minute.
  • Cashier and kitchen screen links can be revoked, for example when someone leaves the team.

Keeping pizzeria customers coming back: WhatsApp on slow days

The customer saves the card with one WhatsApp message and can add it to Google Wallet, where it updates itself. Apple Wallet is not available yet.

  • An automatic reminder goes to customers who stopped coming. They can stop the messages at any time.
  • Offer campaigns go only to customers who accepted marketing messages, are bought as credit packs, and are limited to one offer message a week. A pizzeria can keep that message for a quiet evening of the week, with one simple offer.
  • An optional birthday gift is available. Stampylo asks only for the day and month.
  • Stampylo does not send SMS and does not take orders online or by phone.

Google reviews after the pizza

After a visit, the customer is invited to leave a review by push notification, or on WhatsApp if you have set your Google review link. The page shows the Google review button first to every customer, then an optional private rating with a comment only you see. A 5-star private rating also opens the Google page.

At most one request every 2 months per customer, and none for 6 months after a rating. Do not promise a slice for a review: Stampylo never gives stamps, gifts or discounts for reviews, never filters who sees the Google button, and never writes or buys reviews. The site also has a free QR code generator for your own Google review link.
